i understand that this is a forum for people with a love of bournemouth so i best start by saying that i grew up in bournemouth and cannot think of a better place in the uk i would rather be. i still have family there although i now live in nottingham.
i am desperately seeking information of a man called lawrence denigan/dennigan/dinigan. he is my great nans brother and my cousin, his daughter has not seen him since 1946. i am an amature geneologist and have managed to work out his movements up until 1956 when he was in NY as a merchant seaman.
on his service papers he gives his address as 111-112 ashley rd bournemouth. this was at the time a boarding house that his sister, my great nanny owned.
since this date we have lost track of him. it could be that he changed his name or that he is living abroad, but i cannot find him. i have found that there are a few denigans in the bournemouth area, but i need help contacting them.
